Ellsworth Village Board Annual police report shows rise in tickets
The Ellsworth Village Board on Monday discussed the 2007 annual police report submitted by police Chief Greg Place.
The Ellsworth Village Board on Monday discussed the 2007 annual police report submitted by police Chief Greg Place.
Board members questioned the fluctuation in speeding tickets. In 2003, Ellsworth police issued 51 tickets; the next three years they issued 25 to 30 tickets; and in 2007 they issued 49 tickets.
Place said it depends around the number of service calls and an officer’s time on a case, because sometimes they have to act as a patrol officer and investigator.
