Knudsen event set for Saturday

A cancer benefit/fundraiser for Dawn Knudsen (Hase) will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Harbor Restaurant & Bar. Admission is free. Food is available from 4 to 8 p.m., with live music by The Back Channel Blues Band featuring “Fabulous Fungi” from 5 to 8 p.m.

Prize drawing tickets are available in advance or at the door for $5 each. Grand prize is a $1,000 travel voucher at Blue Ribbon Travel. Many additional prizes and a raffle to be held the day of the event.

Knudsen is a Red Wing native who was diagnosed with invasive ductile carcinoma (breast cancer) July 6, 2007. She received radiation and chemotherapy treatments which were completed Dec. 14, 2007. The event is to celebrate her life, the end of her treatment and to help pay for her mounting medical expenses.
