Letter: Save land for future generations

To the Editor: In response to Rep Steve Drazkowski’s column “Sell some land, build our roads”

To the Editor:

In response to Rep Steve Drazkowski’s column “Sell some land, build our roads” (R-E, Feb. 15): Don’t take land from future generations to build our roads.

That land is not ours to sell on a whim. It belongs to future generations.

Once again we are throwing out ideas that takes resources from future generations to pay for things we should be funding ourselves.

Be a leader and increase the gas tax. That way our present users of the roads pay for them.

I know it’s not popular, that’s why we need leadership to convince people it’s the right thing to do.
