Letter: Given time, the truth comes out
Our country and our world are being destroyed by lies.By: Samuel MacKinney, Hager City, The Republican Eagle
To the Editor:
Our country and our world are being destroyed by lies.
Weapons of mass destruction were found in Iraq soon after the war began. The media was present, even had to get scrubbed down, however, what they found was never reported; instead we have continual accusations the president lied.
It all began when Satan told Eve a lie, and unwisely, she believed him
For 150 years we have been assailed with teachings about evolution, with no proof: microevolution, yes, but no macro discoveries. Quite a number of hoaxes have been put forth, but no actual proof.
Don’t forget Charles Darwin himself said if in the future it was found things in nature were complex, being dependent on other things, then he said it would show his theory to be wrong.
Now we have the money-making hoax of global warming being foisted upon us. There was a slight increase of surface temperatures until the late 1990s, but since then there has been an “under-reported” decrease. All you hear these days is green, green, green, but the people who push these things are making lots of “green.”
We are continually lied to in advertisements. Beer ads use animals to push their products while you never see a person in those ads actually drinking the stuff.
With about 20,000 people per year being killed in alcohol-related deaths, it might be time to eliminate those ads, or at least give equal time to the presentation of traffic deaths, ruined automobiles and families. And, please don’t allow those ads during the sports presentations where thousands of young children are being influenced by them.
In my lifetime, (I’m 82) I have endured TV and Media articles warning me against eggs, coffee, and salt. I decided quite some time ago to ignore all such articles that have the words, might, may or could in them. Give it a few years and the finding will be reversed.
