Ages 3-4

 Mittens were the topic of the week. After reading “The Mitten,” the students acted out the story by pretending to be animals who crawled into a big mitten (a sheet). The class also read “Three Little Kittens” and students made their own mittens using foam shapes. The children used their mittens to do the dance the Mitten Pokey and they listened to a flannel board story about different colored mittens. 

Ages 4-5

After reading “The Hat” by Jan Brett, the students wore their favorite hats to school and created a class book using a photograph of themselves and drawing what they thought would make a perfect hat. They used water color paints to color pictures from Jan Brett’s Web site.

In Renee Warrington’s class, students celebrated Cody’s 1/2 birthday. The children are going to Bremseth Dental to learn about the dentist’s office and dental hygiene.
