‘Morning for Women’ in Lake City due at Lincoln High School

“A Morning for Women: Promoting wellness and balance in life” will take place from 8 a.m.-noon Feb. 2 at the Lincoln High School auditorium in Lake City.

“A Morning for Women: Promoting wellness and balance in life” will take place from 8 a.m.-noon Feb. 2 at the Lincoln High School auditorium in Lake City. The event is a collaborative effort to inspire, invigorate and educate women.

This year’s speakers are Kristina McCaughtry, M.D., and Holly Harden. McCaughtry, Lake City Medical Center’s first physician with OB/GYN specialty training, will talk about women’s health issues. Harden, who works as a freelance writer for Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion,” will share her experiences writing about ordinary things.

“A Morning for Women” is sponsored by Lake City Medical Center — Mayo Health System, Lake City Community Education, Lake City Medical Center Auxiliary, Woman’s Club of Lake City and Lake City Area Women’s Civic Organization.
