Bad second half sends EHS girls to loss

Baldwin-Woodville held Ellsworth High School's girls basketball team to just 14 points in the second half and the Panthers lost 55-42 at B-W.

BALDWIN - Baldwin-Woodville held Ellsworth High School's girls basketball team to just 14 points in the second half and the Panthers lost 55-42 at B-W.

The Blakchawks led 31-28 at halftime but outscored the Purple 24-14 in quarters three and four combined.

Halle Hatch led EHS with 14 points and Lydia Kuhl finished with 12 points. Kelsey Betthauser scored nine points for Ellsworth as they fall to 2-11 overall and 0-7 after the first round of Middle Border Conference play.

Ellsworth is at New Richmond Friday.
