PRAIRIE FARM - After years of winning streaks, the Plum City High School football team now in the middle of a three-game losing streak as they lost to Prairie Farm, 38-28 Friday.
The Blue Devils, 1-5 overall and 1-3 in the Lakeland South, fell behind 13-0. From there they matched the Panthers, who won their first game of the season Friday, score for score but could not catch up. One of PF's touchdowns came on a 62-yard interception return in the first half. The Devils had three critical interceptions in the ballgame.
Lawton Radle scored on a four-yard run and a 10-yard pass reception for PC. Teammate Tyler Niebur scored on a three-yard run and Kyle Erickson had a six-yard TD run.
Prairie Farm's Tristan Beyer scored three touchdowns, including runs of 20 and 44 yards.
Radle rushed for 86 yards to lead PC while teammate Kris Krueger caught seven passes for 118 yards. Radle too, had a big game catching the ball as he had three receptions for 78 yards. Plum City quarterback Chad Fox was 13-for-20 passing for 220 yards.
Plum City gave Prairie Farm its first win of the season but they hope to avoid the same next Friday when they play at winless Cornell.
