Panther netters get two more doubles wins

Ellsworth High School's girls' tennis team picked up two more doubles wins Thursday in a dual meet at Baldwin-Woodville.

BALDWIN - Ellsworth High School's girls' tennis team picked up two more doubles wins Thursday in a dual meet at Baldwin-Woodville.

The Blackhawks won the meet 5-2, keeping the Panthers still winless on the season. However Ellsworth is starting to score meet points and they've all come in doubles play so far.

The EHS team of Bethany and Jordan Olson downed B-W's Amanda Myer and Elsie Kersten 6-1 6-3 at No. 1 doubles while the Panthers' Alea Wilbur and Caitlin Turner beat Kylee Kulow and Stacia Berg 6-3 7-6 (7-3) at No. 2 doubles.

Ellsworth's next dual meet is Tuesday in Durand starting at 4:15 p.m. at the Wayne Field tennis courts.
