John Pollock will be back again in the coaches box this winter as he was named the new head girls basketball coach at Plum City last week.
PLUM CITY - John Pollock will be back again in the coaches box this winter as he was named the new head girls basketball coach at Plum City last week.
Pollock had coached the previous two seasons at Elmwood where he compiled a 10-33 overall record. Before then he was the long-time head girls basketball coach at Durand, leading the Panthers to two state championships and numerous Middle Border Conference titles.
Pollock resigned his position this past spring after the Elmwood School Board had turned down his recommendation the district co-op with Plum City in girls basketball. He said Plum City has at least 20 girls signed up to play basketball whereas Elmwood had just 14.
"We'll have a varsity and a JV team and we'll have enough kids to have a competitive squad this season." Pollock said.
The Blue Devils have gone 1-41 the past two seasons however they return two of the top young players in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference in sophomores Marah Boyer and Heather Von Holtum, both receiving honorable mention All D-Sc last season.
