Fairy tales appearing at Hobgoblin Barn

Do you like fairy tales? Do you like supporting local theatre?

The Young Peoples' Summer Theatre Intensive will culminate with performances of "The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon" at 4 and 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 3, in the Hobgoblin Barn.

This one-act play by Dan Zolidis is a comedy mashup of Grimm fairy tales — some well-known such as "Hansel and Gretel" and some obscure including "Lean Lisa."

The Young Peoples' Summer Theatre Intensive comprises a students — mostly from Red Wing, but with a few from Apple Valley and Hayfield this year — who work for two weeks on every aspect of the play from props and set to choreography. Rehearsals continue throughout this week

Adult tickets cost $5, students play $3 and children 5 and under enter for $1. Hobgoblin/Stoney End is located at 920 Highway 19 Blvd.
