A pumpkin coach, Prince Charming, a glass slipper and a dream come true will enchant audiences Saturday, Jan. 13, as the Missoula Children's Theatre and more than 50 local students present "Cinderella" at the Sheldon Theatre. Show times will be 3 and 5:30 p.m.
This production is part of the Missoula Children's Theatre's international touring project. Tickets are $8 and $10, but "kids play free" courtesy of Red Wing Noontime Kiwanis and the Jones Family Foundation, which means a child who accompanies a paying adult may see the show at no cost.
An audition will be held Monday, Jan. 8, after school. Those auditioning should plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the auditions.
Approximately 50-60 roles are available for students. No advance preparation is necessary. Most students will rehearse approximately four-and-a-half hours each day, Monday through Friday, and must be part of both performances.
