Bells on the Bluffs sets Wisconsin Tour

The Bells on the Bluffs handbell ensemble will be performing in Wisconsin from April 28-29.

Prior to its tour, the Bells on the Bluffs will have a dress rehearsal from 6-7 p.m. April 26 at the First Lutheran Church, 615 W. Fifth St., Red Wing.

"Watch a final rehearsal in action as we get ready to take our show on the road. We will talk about what we are going to be doing during the tour — where we will be performing and what it took to get to this point," member Cynthia Clanton said in an email. "Come celebrate this fifth-year milestone with us."

Refreshments will follow the rehearsal.

For the tour, the group will have three performances April 28 in Redgranite, Oshkosh, and Appleton, followed by two performances on April 29 in Oshkosh and Waupaca.

Founded in 2013, the Bells on the Bluffs ensemble provides performance, workshop and audience participation experiences through their concerts. Members come from Hastings, Red Wing and surrounding communities and seek to spread the joy of handbells to all.

At 6:30 p.m. April 21, the group will hold a benefit concert for St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in Columbia Heights, Minn. to help the church's building updates.
