Blues guitarist will offer new tunes
ZUMBROTA — Entertaining audiences with his guitar work to his impassioned lyrics, Albert Cummings has made it clear he's more than simply a guitarist or bluesman. Cummings will bring it all together in a 7 p.m. concert Sunday, March 11, at the State Theatre.
Cummings burst onto the blues rock scene in the early 2000s and almost immediately began gaining praise in that realm. His latest release, "Live at the '62 Center," portrays not only his versatility as singer/songwriter but as an artist first and foremost, promoters at Crossings at Carnegie said. He will feature new songs from the album that came out of October 2016 recording session with a trio.
"His muscular guitar work is simply outstanding. He's a great blues singer as well with passion for the tunes inherent in his full throttle approach," according to Rock and Blues Muse.
Tickets are $24 in advance and $28 day of show, available through Crossings. To reserve tickets, visit www.crossingsatcarnegie.com, call 507-732- 7616 or stop in to Crossings at 320 East Ave., Zumbrota.
