Spotlight: 4-H'ers to perform 'Treasure Island' at the Sheldon
Follow young Jim Hawkins and his friends as they sail a dangerous sea of adventure with Long John Silver and his pirate band at the helm when the Missoula Children's Theatre and some 50 Goodhue County 4-H members present an original musical adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's epic novel "Treasure Island."
The 4-H'ers are rehearsing approximately four hours a day this week in preparation for the shows, which will be 2 and 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Sheldon Theatre.
The production was originally developed by the Missoula Children's Theatre in partnership with The Montana Power Foundation. "Treasure Island" is part of the Missoula Children's Theatre's unique international touring project and is presented locally by Goodhue County 4-H in conjunction.
Tickets are $8 and $10, but "kids play free" courtesy of Red Wing Noontime Kiwanis and Jones Family Foundation, which means a child who accompanies a paying adult may see the show at no cost.
