Red Wing High School takes on 'Peter Pan'
The Red Wing High School fall play will be the lyrical, atmospheric interpretation of Peter Pan with "Peter/Wendy." The play will run 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Oct. 11-13 and 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Red Wing High School Little Theatre. Director Jeremy Bloom strips the familiar story down to its emotional essence. Peter lures Wendy away from her nursery to the magical world of Neverland, where she joins his adventures with Tinkerbell, Tiger Lily and the menacing Captain Hook. A low-tech, inventive adaptation that pays homage to the darker themes of J. M. Barrie's original, Peter and Wendy will mesmerize audiences of all ages. Tickets for this all-ages event are $2 for adults, $1 for students or food contribution to food shelf. The play is produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc.
