Claudia Schmidt brings her voice to bear in a return performance to Crossings at Carnegie.

The show starts at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at the Zumbrota venue. Schmidt explores jazz, folk, blues and world music genres.

She has been performing for four decades. She calls her repertoire a quirky "hodgepodge" of music, poetry, story, laughter, drama and celebrating the moment.

As she told the Republican Eagle in an early 2016 interview, her first musical memory was "singing harmony on 'Bicycle Built For Two' with my dad when I was 3 or so."

Over the years she has worked in clubs, theaters, festivals, television and radio playing a mix of original songs and personal versions of other's pieces.

She is a regular in Zumbrota. She occasionally shares the stage with other regional favorites. This is a solo performance.

Tickets are $18 in advance, $21 day of show. For more information, visit or call 507-732-7616.
