The latest release by the group, which is led by award-winning musician Billy McLaughlin, is "A Small Town Christmas," which balances sacred Yuletide offerings such as "O Come, O Come Emmanuel," "O Holy Night" and "Silent Night" with sentimental favorites including "Carol of the Bells," "Mary Did You Know" and other seasonal classics.

"With Celtic whistle, piano, acoustic guitar, violin and beautifully blended female voices, the album finds its strengths in the stirring arrangements that combine traditional folk music with more modern elements that both soothe and inspire listeners," a Crossings spokeswoman said.

Simple Gifts members are McLaughlin, acoustic guitar; Jeni-Lyn Starr, piano and Celtic whistles; Heather Garborg, vocals and violin; Karen Paurus, vocals; Carin Vagle, vocals, and Billy O, percussion.

Tickets are $26 in advance, $28 at the door.
