Fitness Class schedule Saturday is 7:15 a.m. basic yoga, 8:25 a.m. cycling and 9:15 a.m. step, followed by Body Blast.
The rec pool has open swimming from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today, 10 to 11:10 a.m. Thursday, 1 to 4:15 p.m. Thursday, 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
The lap pool is open 10 to 11:10 a.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to noon
The water slide is open 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today, 1:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Holiday hours will be New Year's Eve 4:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; New Year's Day, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
New Year's Day
Start 2010 off on the right foot by participating in the Ring in the New Year Fun Run/Walk. This event will begin at 10:15 a.m. and is open to everyone in the community. It may be done inside or outside and you may choose your distance. Proceeds will benefit the financial assistance program for Sunshine Corner, the YMCA Preschool. Minimum donation is $5.
Additional spaces are available in the winter session of gymnastics. Classes are offered Tuesday or Thursdays and will begin the week of Jan. 4. Registration may be done in person at the Y, over the phone at (651) 388-4724 or online at www.redwingymca.org
Are you looking to make a change for the new year? By working with a registered dietitian, you can learn how to lose weight safely as well as how to keep it off. This class will meet 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5-May 18. Registration and payment are required. The cost is $150 per person, $125 for YMCA members.
Beginning Jan. 7, Gym B will be open to adults age 45 and older to play basketball. YMCA membership is required.
