Registration for Mighty Mite and grades 2-6 floor hockey has begun. Both programs will begin Feb. 20. Mighty Mites is open to all kindergarten and first-grade boys and girls. Registration and payment are required.
Train for a tri
David Asp, certified lev one U.S. Triathlon Association coach, will lead a clinic for adults interested in training for a triathlon. This five-month training program is designed for those with little to no experience. Training will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings and every other Sunday afternoon. Registration and payment are required. The cost is $450 per person, $350 for YMCA members.
Friday is Family Fun Night. The gyms and racquetball courts will be available 5 to 8 p.m., the climbing wall from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and the rec pool with water slide from 6 to 7:30 p,m. Family Fun Night is open to the community. The cost is $10 per family, free for YMCA Family members.
A group racquetball lesson will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday and is open to anyone interested in learning to play. The lesson is free, but registration is required.
Women on Weights
The YMCA will offer a program just for women who are interested in learning how to add weight training to their workout routine. A free informational session is set for 5 p.m. Feb. 16, but registration is required. The class will be 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays Feb. 23-March 30. Registration, payment and Y membership are required. Cost is $60.
