Before running into the team champion, Lake City had an easy go of it at the Wabasha-Kellogg Tournament Saturday. Dual victories over the host Falscons (49-24) and Rochester Century (51-21) set up the Tigers with a showdown against New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva.

The Panthers turned the tables on Lake City, taking down the Tigers 43-21.

No individual information was available at press time.

Lake City will compete in a home triangular Wednesday with Byron and Kenyon-Wanamingo before completing the regular season Thursday with a road dual against Stewartville. The Tigers will then turn their attention to the Section 1AA team tournament that begins Feb. 13.
