Competing in one of the toughest individual tournaments in the state of Wisconsin, Ellsworth came away from the Cheesehead with 277 points and a 14th place finish out of 26 teams. Montini Catholic (Ill.) won the event with 554.5 points while host Kaukauna, Wis. Placed second with 521 points. Lockport, Ill. 492.0, Southeast Polk, Iowa and 491.5 and Waverly-Shellrock (Iowa) 442.0 rounded out the top five.

Gabe Frandsen (160 pounds) was the only Panther to leave Kaukauna with a title, earning a gold medal with a 13-7 decision over Xavier Montavalo of Montini Catholic.

Jens Lantz (126) also made the finals, but fell 5-2 to Johnny Jemenez of Marimon Academy (Ill.) Logan Kemmerer (170) was the third and final Ellsworth wrestler to place, taking fifth with a 2-0 victory over Drew Sathrum of Kenyon-Wanamingo.
