Shakopee came to the area Saturday and left town with the first-place trophy from the Cannon Falls Tournament. The Sabres totaled 209 points, ahead of the host Bombers (181.5) and third-place Woodbury (165.5). No other squad had more than 118 points in the 12-team individual tournament.

Paul Fitterer (113 pounds), Derek Johnson (182), Nathan Melhouse (195) and Clay Broze (220) all came away as champions in their respective brackets.

Ryan Epps (120), Keston Lopez (132) and Connor Rohr (138) each made the finals, but lost in the championship match. Sterling Carlson (160) captured third-place finishes.

Shakopee also had four individual champions while Woodbury and Kimball each had two. St. Charles and Pine Island had solo titlists. All 14 Sabres finished sixth or higher while the Bombers placed nine wrestlers.

Cannon Falls will host Kenyon-Wanamingo at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
