A watershed is an area from which all water drains into a particular stream, lake or river.

"Through the artist's unique perspective on the natural world, visitors can appreciate the many species that share the watershed with eagles and humans," he said.

The inaugural exhibition in the Watershed Gallery at the National Eagle Center is photography by Jerry and Carol Knabe, owners of By Golly Creek Photography.

This exhibit includes images of a diversity of local plants and animals, including an image of an eagle soaring over the Mississippi River captured this winter from the observation deck at the National Eagle Center. A short description includes information on the location and species depicted in each photograph.

Future shows in the Watershed Gallery will include exhibits in partnership with River Junctions Arts Counci and the Minnesota Marine Art Museum.
