Village Board approves monies for park improvement
The Ellsworth Village Board approved spending $9,000 to help pay for improvements to Summit Park’s baseball field during their July meeting Monday evening.
The village has already spent $6,000 on survey work at the park and the money approved at Monday’s meeting is the remainder of cost-sharing agreement between the village, the Ellsworth School District and the Ellsworth Hubbers amateur baseball team for improvements to the field.
The board also approved a Finance Committee recommendation to reimburse Quinn Motor’s $43,000 for their purchase of the lot on the west side of its property and the soil clean-up of that lot.
The board also approved putting out bids for a new police squad car, a two percent transfer of fire dues to the Ellsworth Fire Association, a parade license for the Ellsworth Fire Asslociation for their annual Pierce County Fair Parade and they adopted a resolution which transferred impact fees for the village library to fees budgeted in 2013 for building/space/architectural fees.
Monday evening’s meeting took one hour and all members of the board and Village President Gerald DeWolfe were present.
