One person is dead after a shooting in Hastings late Sunday night.

Hastings officers were called to the 1200 block of Eddy Street at 9:56 p.m. on the report of shots fired.

When officers arrived, 34-year-old Jason Charles Reuter was found dead.

Nobody else was injured.

Hastings police say they believe this was an isolated incident. They are busy this week interviewing people who may have information about the shooting.

"We're seeking out and interviewing a number of people," Hastings Chief of Police Bryan Schafer said. "We're continuing to look at people of interest."

The MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Hennepin County Medical Examiner and the Dakota County and Washington County Sheriff’s offices are assisting.

The medical examiner's office released Reuter's identity on Tuesday afternoon.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to contact the Hastings Police Department at 651-480-2300 or by texting the word Hastings and the information you wish to share to 847411 (tip411).

More information will be posted here as it becomes available.
