A 2011 Dodge Ram pick-up, driven by John Czarnecki, 43, Dennison, was traveling eastbound on County Road 9. It collided with a 2011 Lincoln MKS — driven by Raymond Pierce, 61, Cedar Rapids, Iowa — that was traveling northbound on Highway 52.

Pierce and Czarnecki sustained non-life-threatening injuries. However, Ambryia Pierce, 10, Cedar Rapids, Iowa — a passenger in the Pierce vehicle — sustained serious injuries and was transported to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Two other passengers in Pierce's vehicle — 31-year-old Arielle Pierce and 9-year-old Aryssa Pierce — were uninjured. All five people involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.

Goodhue County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
