Tyrone "Terry" M. Benson, 75
Tyrone "Terry" M. Benson, 75, of Alamogordo, N.M., passed away Jan. 28.
He was born Oct. 6, 1938, in Red Wing, Minn.
He joined the U.S. Air Force as a Flight Line Mechanic in 1956, and served 24 years, including 1 year in Vietnam. Terry retired from the AF as a Master Sergeant in 1980, and went on to a 20 year career in civil service at Holloman AFB. He was a member of the American Legion and was also a State Commander of the VFW, dedicating 36 years volunteering for active soldiers, veterans, and citizens of New Mexico.
Terry is survived by his life partner, Brenda Markulik; and four sons Michael, Douglas, David, and Danny.
He was preceded in death by his son Scott; daughter, Theresa; brother, Royce; and parents, Monroe and Anna.
Terry was a beloved man who touched many lives. The world will not be the same without "Bubbles".
A funeral service was held on Feb. 4, in Alamogordo. Burial with Military Honors followed.
