Plein Air Festival

The 2008 Plein Air Art Festival features artists painting scenes outdoors. Painting demonstrations will begin at 10 a.m. at the Red Wing Arts Association Depot Gallery, and artists will compete in a Paint-Out from noon to 4 p.m.

Sheldon Theatre

Variety Show

The Steve Thompson and Friends Variety Show will be held at the Stagehands Theater.

Elmwood native Vicki Emerson, who is performing professionally in New York City, will appear as part of a Ellsworth-area performance tour. L.J. Booth and Sheralyn Barnes also will perform musical selections.

Stockholm History Day

The Stockholm Historical Institute is celebrating Pepin County's sesquicentennial with a history day. The main event will be the 2 p.m. dedication of the Bill Stumpf Photo Mural, a 15-foot wide montage of photos created by members of the institute in memory of the Stockholm resident.

A performance of traditional Swedish music is set for 1 p.m., plus there'll be story telling, a silent auction and featured exhibits.

Pajama Party
