St. Crispin Living Community breaks ground
St. Crispin Living Community will hold a blessing and ground-breaking ceremony 2 p.m. Wednesday June 12 at 636 Hewitt Blvd. Speakers will include Benedictine Health System CEO Dale Thompson and Vice President of Operations Chris Boldt, Dr. Tom Witt of Mayo Clinic Health System and Rep. Tim Kelly.
The St. Crispin Living Community project represents a unique partnership created in 2010 through state legislation. This new state-of-the-art facility will feature 80 skilled nursing beds, 40 post-acute care, and 40 long-term care.
The two-level facility will also feature neighborhood concepts with a new model of senior care and a rehabilitation center equipped with a therapeutic pool. Construction is expected to begin this August. The facility is slated to open fall 2014.
Seminary Home, St. Brigid's at Hi-Park and the Benedictine Health System are creating the new complex across from Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing.
