Speech contest open to all

The fourth annual “Great American Speech Contest,” hosted by the Hiawatha Valley Toastmasters, will be Sept. 11. The theme is “What it means to be an American.”

The top presentations will win cash prizes to donate to the local charity of their choice. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be at 6 p.m. at the Hobgoblin Music Barn, 920 Highway 19, Red Wing. Light refreshments will be available.
