Pepin-Alma wrapped up its 15th Dunn-St. Croix conference championship Tuesday with a 9-4 victory against Elk Mound in Alma.
The Eagles (16-2, 14-0 Dunn-St. Croix) tallied 13 hits in the win, scoring three runs in the first inning, three runs in the second inning and three runs in the fifth.
Pepin-Alma senior Sophia Reidt was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI, junior Ali Murray went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI and sophomore Cori Terpstra finished 3-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Junior Breanna Ellison threw all seven innings for the win. She allowed one earned run on seven hits and one walk. She struck out five and went 2-for-4 with two RBI at the plate.
The Eagles made three errors in the game but finished off the win with a double play.
"It was a fun night," Pepin-Alma head coach Matt Bellerive said. "You hate to see the three errors but we had 13 hits. The girls were smoking it around pretty good. ... And we've been playing great defense."
Next up, the Eagles travel to face Spring Valley/Plum City Thursday.
