Softball: Goodhue snaps slump with win over Triton
After a tough week, Goodhue found its way back into the win column with a 10-4 Hiawatha Valley League victory over Triton Friday in Goodhue.
Returning to the lineup after an injury, Wildcats pitcher Laurie Pearson picked up a complete-game victory, striking out four and walking just one. On offense, Bailey Kreisler went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs. Ashlyn Stecklein picked up a pair of two-out hits, driving in two runs in the victory. Lexie Kennedy added two hits, a run and an RBI for Goodhue.
The Wildcats (5-6, 3-4 HVL) will play three games Saturday at the Bethlehem Academy invitational in Faribault. Goodhue opens with Wabasha-Kellogg at 1 p.m.
