OSCEOLA - Prescott's Sam Smith and Ellsworth's Alex Campbell won three championships at the Middle Border Conference track and field meet Tuesday.
Smith was the winner of the 100, 200 and 400-meter dashes and had a top four finish in the long jump. Campbell won the long jump and took first in the triple jump and high jump.
Campbell wasn't the only multiple conference champ for Ellsworth as Lydia Kuhl won both the 100 and 300-meter hurdle races. Teammate Abbey Ristow successfully defended her title in the discus. Also winning a title for EHS was Matt Priest in the 3200-meter run.
Prescott's conference champs included Cole Hauenstein in the 1600-meter run, Victoria Simones, also in the 1600 for the third straight season; Autumn Stees in the long jump and Prescott's 3200-meter relay team also won first place.
Prescott's boys had their best finish in the MBC meet since rejoining the league in 2002 in second just behind Somerset 147-117 points. Ellsworth took third with 112. Ellsworth's girls placed fourth and Prescott was in fifth.
