Sheriff urges boaters to use caution in high water

Heavy rains have caused the Mississippi River to rise above its normal elevation, creating strong currents that may be dangerous to boaters, Goodhue County Sheriff's Water Patrol said.

The patrol is advising boaters to use "extreme caution" and operate at slow speeds, especially over the Fourth of July holiday.
