History presentationCostumed staff, artifacts and technology linked to Joseph Nicollet will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Thursday Nov. 21. Nicollet is famous for his map of the Upper Mississippi River Basin, created in the early 19th century.The program is presented through a grant given by the Red Wing Shoe Foundation to the Minnesota History Center. Help out making cardsThe craft group meets at 1 p.m. Wednesdays to make recycled greeting cards. Donations of old greeting cards and volunteers to assemble them are welcomed. Recycled cards are for sale from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every day at the Jordan Tower II Sailstad Room.
