Everyone is welcome to drink coffee, eat pie or hot dogs and listen to live music from the Boathouse Band from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 28. The cost is $5 for coffee and pie, $2 for hot dogs.

The Red Wing Senior Center Choir, the Silver Tones, practice 1 p.m. every Tuesday at First Lutheran Church, 615 W. Fifth St. If you like singing harmony, join in. On Tuesday Aug. 27 the group will meet at the First Lutheran Church, 100 Peace Ridge, Lake City.
Senior volleyball league forming
Are you interested in playing volleyball? The Senior Center and the YMCA are starting a volleyball league for men and women age 55 and older. If you are interested, call the center.
'Powerful Tools for Caregivers' offered
The six-week educational series "Powerful Tools for Caregivers" is designed to help unpaid caregivers take care of themselves while caring for a relative or friend. The classes run 1 to 2 p.m. every Tuesday from Sept. 10 to Oct. 15.
Class size is limited, registration is required. Suggested donation is $25.
Trips, Travels and Tours heads to State Fair
Join in for an annual outing to the Minnesota State Fair. Bus leaves at 7 a.m. and returns around 5 p.m. Thursday Aug. 29.
Cost is $26 for members, $31 for nonmembers, and includes transportation, admission and ice cold water.
The following games will be played: Scrabble - 1 p.m. Wednesdays; Fun Bridge — 10 a.m. Wednesdays; Chess — 1 p.m. Wednesdays
Foot care available
Foot care clinic will be available Thursdays from 1 to 3:30 p.m. with a home health nurse. To schedule an appointment, call Red Wing Homecare and Hospice at 651-385-3410. The cost is $34.
Medical equipment available
Gently used medical equipment is available at the Senior Center to use for up to three months during a period of medical convalescence or short-term disability.
Items include wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, shower chairs, commodes and more. If you need something, visit or call the center. A $20 donation is requested to help with the ongoing program costs.
Jordan Towers are located in the 400 block of West Fifth Street in downtown Red Wing. All events listed are held at Jordan Tower I or II unless otherwise noted.
