Gentle Yoga for Seniors
Learn gentle yoga positions with certified yoga instructor Michelle Hoffman from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesdays. Cost for six sessions is $45 for individuals, $80 for couples.
Yoga can reduce chronic health conditions, improve sleep, increase energy, restore balance, improve attitude and overall quality of life. Start anytime.
Here's the schedule of games to be played: Mahjong – 1 to 3 p.m. Mondays; Cribbage — 1 p.m. Tuesdays; Fun Bridge — 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays; Scrabble and Chess — 1 p.m. Wednesdays.
Seniors offer help
Seniors Helping Seniors peer support volunteers are skilled and committed to helping other seniors who are experiencing distress in their lives. If you need someone to talk to or you know someone who does, please contact 651-327-2255.
Medical equipment available
Gently used medical equipment is available at the Senior Center to use for up to three months during a period of medical convalescence or short-term disability.
Items include wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, shower chairs, commodes and more. If you need something, visit or call the center. A $20 donation is requested to help with the ongoing program costs.
Jordan Towers are located in the 400 block of West Fifth Street in downtown Red Wing. All events listed are held at Jordan Tower I or II unless otherwise noted.
Join the exercise class
Exercise class takes place at 10 a.m. Monday through Friday in the Sailstad Room. Everyone is encouraged to only do the exercises that they feel comfortable doing.
Exercise boosts bone mass
Bone Builders meets at 9 a.m. Mondays and Wednesday in the Jordan I café. This is a free volunteer-led weight based class meant to reverse the effect of osteoporosis.

Volunteers monitor blood pressure
Free blood pressure checks will be given at 11:45 a.m. Friday Aug. 8 at Sawyer’s Inn, 207 Second St., Goodhue. The service is offered by St. Brigid’s Hi-Park volunteers.
