Red Wing High School

Registration for 2014-15

Students should have submitted their registration form for courses for the 2014-15 school year. If they have not done so yet, they need to get them turned in to their adviser ASAP.

Announcers for the week of June 2 will be Slaiden Auger from Ms. Woychek’s classroom and Aidan O’Brien from Ms. VanLoon’s classroom.

Grade 2

Field day for second grade will be Monday June 2. Parents are welcome to join the classes and watch the fun. Please bring a picture ID if you will be in the school building.

Grade 3

Third-grade classes will be launching rockets on Monday June 2. Launching will take place on the Burnside playground. Parents and families are welcome to watch. Please bring a picture ID if you will be going in the school building.

Bikes for Books

The drawing for bikes will be on Thursday June 5. All students who read the required number of books are eligible for the bike drawing. A boy and girl from each grade will be drawn as winners courtesy of Red Wing Masonic Lodge 8.

Annual play

Once again St. John's Lutheran School students rocked the Sheldon Theatre with their annual spring play. “The Rock Slinger and His Greatest Hit” is the story of David and Goliath.

The winners from May 28 were Emma Hamilton in Mrs. Fagerlund's first grade and Gavin Ledebuhr in Mrs. Newman's second grade.

All-school picnic

On Thursday June 5 we will celebrate the end of the school year with our all-school picnic (weather permitting). Parents are invited to join their child for lunch during their regular classroom lunch time. Family members need to bring their own lunch. They will be eating outside on the Maple Street playground area. Please wait outside to meet your child's class (after they have gone through the lunch line).

Red Cottage Montessori

Fly-up

Children who will leave Red Cottage and head to area elementary schools spent time preparing for their fly-up ceremony. Younger children painted birds and attached them to sticks using string. These children will create a fly-up arch for the ceremony.
