Rosaline E. Conway, 89, of Lake City, died Wednesday at the Lake City Nursing Home. Born Nov. 21, 1918, in Lake City to Theodore & Amelia (Lindgren) Olson, she grew up in Lake City and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1936. She married James Conway Dec. 13, 1941, in Culver City, Calif. After WWII they moved to Lake City, where they owned and operated J. F. Conway Jewelers in Lake City. He passed away July 23, 1960. She owned and operated the store for 40 years when she sold the business in 1987. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Lake City, Eastern Star and the Lake City Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include two sons, James (Susan) of Rochester, Minn., and Rand (Bonnie) of Lake City; three grandsons; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Ioline Leier and a brother, Harry Olson.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Congregational Church in Lake City with the Rev. David Badgley officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Lake City Nursing Home or First Congregational Church.
