Rindahl found guilty on malicious punishment, not guilty on assault
David Michael Rindahl Jr. was found guilty of malicious punishment of a child and held without bail until his sentencing on June 20.
Shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday, the jury returned their verdict, which included finding Rindahl not guilty of first- and third-degree assault charges.
The maximum sentence for malicious punishment of a child charge is 10 years imprisonment and a $20,000 fine.
The first-degree assault charge carried a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment and a $30,000 fine and the third-degree assault charge carried a maximum sentence of 5 years imprisonment and a $10,000 fine.
