Red Wing officer recognzied for DWI arrests
Adam Crain with the Red Wing Police Department was one of 37 law enforcement officers recognized as a DWI Enforcer All-Star during a Minnesota Twins game last weekend. Crain made 34 DWI arrests in 2013, according to the Department of Public Safety.
Alcohol-related crashes caused 117 deaths on Minnesota roadways in 2013, accounting for 30 percent of all traffic fatalities, the DPS says. A total of 25,719 motorists were arrested for intoxicated driving last year.
There will be increased DWI patrols across the state Aug. 16 to Sept. 1.
