Police unable to revive man found on Levee Road
A 63-year-old Red Wing man found lying unresponsive Wednesday morning in the 900 block of Levee Road was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
Dispatch received a call around 5:13 a.m. of a man lying in the street. Responding officers initiated CPR on the man and connected an automated external defibrillator, but attempts to resuscitate him were not successful, according to Red Wing Police Chief Roger Pohlman.
An investigation found no signs of foul play and the existence of a prior medical condition, Pohlman said.
The identity of the man is being withheld until family is notified.
RWPD was assisted at the scene by Red Wing Fire Department.
