Queen Anne’s lace goes to seed along Highway 61 near Frontenac Station. An invasive species, the native plant of Europe, North Africa and Asia grows along roadsides across the United States. Queen Anne’s lace or daucus carota is a threat to recovering grasslands and can be persistent on clay soils, according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
