Phillip J. Flynn, 74
Phillip James Flynn, 74, of Plymouth, formerly of Red Wing, went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 10.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. Phil was a successful entrepreneur of several business endeavors; he had a passion for small businesses, ranging from insurance sales to investment banking. His passions in life included taking motorcycle trips around the country.
His favorite day of the week was Tuesday. It was a full day for him; in the morning it was 18 holes of golf, the afternoon was trap shooting and in the evening was Poker with the neighborhood guys. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, family time, his grandchildren and studying God's word.
Preceded in death by parents, Albert and Margaret Flynn; son-in-law, Kenton Edward Grimm; and sister-in-law, Peggy Flynn.
Survived by beloved wife of 55 years, Marlene (nee Birk); children, Shawn Grimm, Scott (Rachelle), Jay (Debbie) and Teresa (Tony) Hallada; grandchildren, Ashlynn, Joe, Mason, Gabe, Hannah, Matthew, Jonathan and Anna; great-granddaughter, Kora; brother, Richard; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m., all at Woodridge Church, 1500 County Rd. 24, Medina. Interment will be 12 noon Saturday, July 26, at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Miesville, with Military Honors by VFW Post #1210.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Woodridge Youth Ministry or donor's choice of charity.
