Pepin man injured in motorcycle crash
A Pepin man was injured in a single motorcycle crash Saturday night on Highway 35 near 1180th Street.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department was notified of a crash at 8:06 p.m. and upon arrival found David Dykema, 51, lying in the east ditch, according to the department.
Initial investigation showed Dykema was northbound on Highway 35 when a vehicle two ahead of him slowed to make a left turn, causing the vehicle in front of Dykema to slow suddenly.
Dykema swerved to the right, lost control of the motorcycle on the gravel and was ejected, according to the sheriff’s office.
He was transported from the scene to Regina Medial Center in Hastings with undetermined injuries. The crash still is investigation.
Prescott Fire and Ambulance assisted at the scene.
