Peggy A. Boigenzahn, 79
Peggy Ann Boigenzahn, age 79, passed away Tuesday May 6, at St. Brigid's At Hi-Park in Red Wing, Minn., where she had been in residence for the last two years.
Peggy was born June 20, 1934, in Eau Galle, Wis., the daughter of August and Alma (Kraft) Sinz. She grew up in the Menomonie area. She married Edward Boigenzahn July 9, 1952, in Durand, Wis.
Together they owned a milk route, Mr. Ed's Bar, The Village Inn Cafe' and Bay City Sand Co. in Bay City, Wis., where they lived for many years. During their retirement years they wintered in Alamo, Texas, and spent their summers in Danbury, Wis. She enjoyed bowling, and crocheting, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Jeffery (Margo) Boigenzahn, Roxanne (Steven) Thoner, and Brian (MaryJo) Boigenzahn; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Bernice Boe and Charlotte Boigenzahn; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Lila Byington, Marjorie McClellen, Betty Sinz and Elaine Sinz; and brothers, Lavern, Jack and Jerry Sinz.
A memorial service will be Monday, May 19, at St. Brigid's At Hi-Park Chapel, 213 Pioneer Road, Red Wing, MN. The visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. and the service will follow at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Bay City Cemetery.
