Patricia Ann Place, 69
Patricia Ann Place, age 69, of Ellsworth Wis., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 22, surrounded by her children and companion.
She battled Polycystic Kidney Disease for 37 years; the last 12 years were spent receiving dialysis treatments.
Patricia was born in Chippewa Falls, Wis., on Jan. 7, 1944, to Merlin and Dorothea Swanson. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1962. Patricia spent her time raising four children and owning/operating a home daycare.
Patricia loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed baking, gardening and spoiling her dog, Bailee.
Patricia is survived by Charles Schams, her significant other of 22 years; sons Donovan (Audrin), and Darren (Tami); daughters Deanna (Jeff) Redding, and Anna (Ryan) Petersmeyer; grandchildren Andrea, Spencer, Evan, and Ellis; step-grandchildren Sarah, Stacy, Shane, and Samantha; step-great-grandchildren Kami, Trinity, and Jaidyn; four brothers; six sisters; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Merlin and Dorothea Swanson, step-mothers Vergil Peterson, and Lois Fjelstad; brothers Mike, and Gary Swanson; sisters Mera Hove, and Karen Baker; niece Kimberly Denzer; and nephew Todd Swanson.
There will be a visitation from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, at Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, at English Lutheran Church, Ellsworth, and visitation one hour before service.
