One injured in morning crash
A Red Wing man was injured in one-vehicle crash a little before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 61 near A.P. Anderson Park, authorities said.
The driver, identified by Minnesota State Patrol as Magee J. Evelyn, 76, was traveling westbound on Highway 61 when he ran off the road to the right and struck a pedestrian bridge abutment.
Evelyn was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing with non life-threatening injuries, according to the state patrol.
A crash report states that roads were icy at the time of the incident.
