A man was injured Friday morning when his vehicle rolled on Highway 61 near Cady Street, Red Wing Fire Department reported.

Crews responded to the scene just after 10:30. A Dodge Neon driven by Robert D. Johnson, 59, Hastings, was northbound when went off the road and rolled at least 2.5 times, landing on its roof, Red Wing Police Chief Roger Pohlman said.

A medical condition may have contributed to the crash, Fire Capt. Scott Will said.

The man was in stable condition when he was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing, Will said. He was later airlifted to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Northbound Highway 61 traffic was rerouted down Cady Street until crews finished cleaning up the crash at about 11:20 a.m.
